Meet the Team: Amelia Jarman, Production

So you know all about our beers and how we brew ‘em, now it’s time to meet the team.

Hard at work behind the scenes, the guys here at Little Valley Brewery are busy brewing, bottling and delivering our beers to customers across Yorkshire.

  1. What is your job at Little Valley Brewery and what does it involve?

My job at Little Valley involves the brewing and packaging of our beers. This means that I do anything from brewing the beer, bottling the beer or filling our casks direct from our tanks for our pub customers. I support in order processing as well as helping out in our Off License at the brewery.

  1. How long have you worked here?

Just over one year.

  1. What is your favourite thing about working for Little Valley Brewery?

Generally in a small business everyone helps in doing everything and that’s what I like about working at Little Valley, we’re one big team.

I love being out and seeing people enjoying a Little Valley beer. I feel a sense of achievement seeing people pick it off the shelf or drink it at the bar. I’m pleased to be involved in sending great beers out of our brewery doors. It’s also great to put my Chemistry degree into practice. Beer and Chemistry is what it’s all about for me!

  1. When you’re not busy working in Production, what do you like to do in your spare time?

Apart from drinking good beer and guessing the hops and malts that have been used, I like to cook. I use beer in food a lot and I like matching different beers with different foods.

Outside of the brewery I love to dance, I’m known as being the first person on the dance floor at local band venues.

  1. What is your favourite Little Valley beer and why?

This largely depends on the time of year and also, because Little Valley beers are so diverse in style, it’s a truly multi-dimensional range and there is so much to go at. I love the Tod’s Blonde. It’s what lager aspires to be. I think our Vanilla Porter reminds me of Christmas but I enjoy it at any time. We’ve recently brewed our Cherry Saison and despite the wintry weather, I’m loving this one!
