We have strengthened our pub presence, with our Stage Winner being selected by Punch as part of the ‘Yorkshire Finest Cask’ range. In celebration of our new listing, we have pulled together a pub tour along the Tour de Yorkshire route, for beer and bike enthusiasts to enjoy. Our Stage Winner beer will be on offer to Punch pubs over a nine-week period from 3rd April to 26th May 2017.
We launched Stage Winner in 2014 in dedication to Brian Robinson, the first Briton to win a stage of Le Tour de France. Stage Winner is a seasonal beer available during spring and summer, which is a lightly hopped beer with a balanced bitterness and smooth malty texture and an ABV of 3.5%. It will be available to 225 Punch pubs across the county as part of the ‘Yorkshire Finest Cask’ range.
Sue Cooper, Co-Owner of Little Valley Brewery, commented:
“It is an honour to have been chosen to be part of the Punch Yorkshire Finest Cask range and to be recognised alongside other great beers and breweries in the country. There are some fantastic cycling routes in this county and some equally fantastic pubs, so we wanted to use this as a chance to showcase the two together! Stage Winner is a light and refreshing beer and a great choice for customers to get a head start on the Tour de Yorkshire and the cycling season this year.”
If you’re planning on giving the Tour de Yorkshire route a go, ourselves and Punch have pulled together a list of pubs to stop into en route:

Faye Eccleshall, Finest Cask Co-Ordinator from Punch, added:
“We are delighted to have Little Valley Brewery’s Stage Winner on offer to our pubs. It’s a great beer that celebrates the cycling season, which is obviously a good opportunity for our pubs with the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour de France on the horizon. We’ve got some fantastic properties across the region, so we’re proud to be able to showcase these with Little Valley.”
We’ll be sampling a pint of cask at the New Inn, Halifax over the weekend, and if we like, we’ll be popping into your premises on our way back to Rochdale 🙂
