CALDERDALE’S Little Valley Brewery has won a silver award in the Speciality Beers section at the Great British Beer Festival for its Hebden’s Wheat.
The festival, held at Earls Court, London, is the biggest in the country, attracting 700 beers.
Wim van der Spek, co-owner of the Cragg Vale brewery received the award from beer writer Roger Protz.
He said: “I’m very pleased because I put a lot of effort into the beer. It’s a white continental style beer with a hazy appearance. It tastes fresh and fruity and smells like lemon, coriander and banana.”
