Monday 25th January marks the birthday of everyones’ favourite Scottish poet, Robert Burns. It’s also a little known fact that famous poet and husband to Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes, was born just down the road from us in Mytholmroyd.
Now, we know it’s tradition to drink whiskey on Burns Night, but in the spirit of poetry and good beer we’ve put together a little rhyme about our favourite thing, beer, to celebrate the occasion! For an added challenge, we’ve kept it at 140 characters or less so it fits into a tweet.
#BurnsNight comes but once a year, so mark it with a special beer.
No haggis, scotch or thistle, but a @LittleValleyAle to wet yer whistle.
